Faithful Circle Quilters are meeting both in-person and on zoom
We meet twice a week with a morning (Thursday 10 AM) and an evening (Monday 7 PM) meeting. If you are a non-member and would like to be included in the invitation to those meetings, please contact president@faithfulcirclequilters.com. Please specify whether you would like to be invited to the morning meeting, the evening meeting, or both. If applicable, Zoom invitation e-mails are sent out a day or two before each meeting as a reminder. Zoom links (for members only) are also included in the meeting event on the website calendar.
We have found that keeping a mix of in-person and virtual zoom meetings allows all our members to stay in touch and provides various opportunities to stay connected. Check our Calendar for details on each meeting format.
Meetings consist of general announcements, sharing of news and information, show and tell. Zoom meetings also have varied programmatic content such as slideshow of special quilts, sharing of interesting video, demos, a variety of planned activities and/or breakout groups for general chit-chat.
Periodically we also have a virtual lecture from a variety of national and internationally known teachers and speakers. Classes have continued during the pandemic in virtual format. Programs such as block exchanges, block of the month for charity, round robin, and other quilt challenges have continued despite the pandemic.
The group has remained very active in our support of various community organizations, with sewing of masks, caps, and a record number of charity quilts.
You are welcome to join our meetings as a visitor, whether the meeting is in-person or on zoom. For Zoom, settle into a comfortable place in your home with your online device, along with some hand sewing or knitting, or just check us out and join the chit-chat.
There are other activities the group organizes. These include potluck luncheons and dinners, a Spring and Fall retreat, occasional Saturday Sew-Ins, and a biennial Quilt Show.
