Tiny Art Quilts – From Photo to Quilt
August 9 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Tiny Art Quilts – In Person workshop with Claudia Pearce
Saturday Aug 9 from 9am – 3pm
Cost: $27
A foolproof method for making a small keepsake quilt. This in person workshop led by Claudia Pearce will be
held in Lyle Buck Hall
Have you ever wanted to make a keepsake quilt for yourself or a gift but didn’t have the time or
energy to invest in a large quilt? The answer is a tiny art quilt. From a photo of your travels, of
your pet, of your house, or anything else that strikes your fancy, you will design and create your
own small art quilt (around 12” x 12”). This small quilt can be used as a wall hanging, a pillow,
the centerpiece for a larger quilt, the focus of a bag or designer jacket.
In this one-day workshop you will design and make your own tiny art quilt. In the morning you
will design your quilt from a treasured photo and select your fabrics. In the afternoon, you will
make your tiny art quilt. You should be able to mostly complete the project in class. Binding or incorporating
your TAQ into a bigger project will be done on your own.
Tickets will be available by June.
